Yamaha Indonesia unveiled the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion on April 28.
A new spy picture shared by Iwanbanaran reveals that Yamaha Indonesia has commenced deliveries of the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion. Several units of the motorcycle were spotted on a transport truck heading towards dealerships. The truck was spotted in the East Java region.
The standard Yamaha V-Ixion uses the same 149.8 cc SOHC engine, seen in the previous generation Yamaha V-Ixion, coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The fuel injected mill is capable of producing 16.6 PS of power and 14.5 Nm. The bike gains assist and slipper clutch, LED headlight, LED taillamp, a new digital speedometer which has the welcome message ‘Hi Buddy’, Hazard lamp, removable mudguard and a pass-beam integrated into the light switch.

Yamaha Indonesia has also introduced a more powerful variant this year in the form of the Yamaha V-Ixion R. The bike gets the new 155.1 cc VVA mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine produces 19.31 PS of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. The Yamaha V-Ixion R gets an additional gear shift light on the instrumentation, USB charger and a wider rear tyre.
The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion is available in Matt Silver, Red-Black and Matte Black colours while the Yamaha V-Ixion R will be offered in Matte Red-Black, Blue-Silver and Green-White.
The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion has a price tag of IDR 26 million while the Yamaha V-Ixion R is priced at IDR 29.5 million.
