The Yamaha R15 v3.0 gets Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).
Yamaha has released the pricing of the third generation Yamaha R15 for the Indonesian market. The bike has been priced at IDR 34,500,000 making it the costliest machine in the segment.
Powering the bike is a 155.1 cc 4-valve, liquid-cooled mill which is capable of producing 19.31 PS of maximum power (up from 17 PS) at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of peak torque (down from 15 Nm) at 8,500 rpm.
In comparison, the Suzuki GSX-R150 with 19.17 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque has a price tag of IDR 27,900,000 (price to be raised in April 2017). The Suzuki though misses out on slipper clutch which the Yamaha R15 v3.0 gets. All the three of the Japanese performance 150 cc motorcycles gets LED headlamps as standard.
The Honda CBR150R in Indonesia was launched last year and produces 17.1 PS of power and 13.7 Nm of torque. The Honda CBR150R, just like the Suzuki GSX-R150 and Yamaha R15 v3.0 gets an all-digital instrumentation console. The Honda CBR150R carries a price tag of IDR 33,500,000 for the top end variant.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 though gets upside down forks up front, something not seen in any of the other performance 150 cc motorcycles.
