Yamaha R15 v3.0 continues to use a Single Overhead Cam.
A new image shared by Iwanbanaran revealed that Yamaha Indonesia has started dispatch of the Yamaha R15 v3.0. Earlier the motorcycle was spotted at what seemed to be a Yamaha stockyard, ready to be shipped to dealerships.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is a significant upgrade from the second generation model which is still retailed in India. The new engine displaces 155.1 cc and continues to employ fuel injection and liquid cooling. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch the engine is capable of producing 19.31 PS of power with 14.7 Nm of torque.
The third generation Yamaha R15 gets several premium features like LED headlamps, Variable Valve Actuation, upside down front forks and an all-digital instrumentation console. The bike tips the scales at 137 kg but the fuel tank has shrunk to store 11-litre of petrol.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is expected to be introduced in India later in the year.
