The Yamaha FZ-S V3.0 in a new black colour variant has been spied uncamouflaged at a dealership, courtesy Rushlane. According to IAB's sources, the 2019 FZ series is slated to launch in India on 21 January.
Earlier this week, the Yamaha FZ-S V3.0 was spotted at a dealership without any camouflage, completely revealing is design. The new model features LED headlamp, redesigned fuel tank with extended shrouds, an updated tail section, single seat and new 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels.
The Yamaha FZ-S V3.0 was spied road testing 24 December. It has an all-digital instrument cluster and a new tyre hugger, both of which are lifted from the Yamaha FZ25. It will be available in two variants - FZ FI V3.0 and the FZ-S FI V3.0.
As far as the mechanicals are concerned, we don't expect too many changes apart from the introduction of ABS to comply with the incoming safety guidelines. However, we aren't sure whether Yamaha will offer a single-channel or a twin-channel unit of the FZ V3.0. The Yamaha FZ-S V3.0 will source power from the familiar 149 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor that is good for 13.2 PS of maximum power and 12.8 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The introduction of ABS will jack up prices by at least INR 10,000. With the current FZ range priced at INR 82,040* (FZ FI V2.0) and INR 88,042* (FZ-S FI V2.0), respectively, we expect the FZ FI V3.0 to cost around INR 90,000** and circa INR 95,000** price for the FZ-S V3.0.
