The Yamaha FZ family at present only retails the fuel injected models.
The Yamaha FZ has been modified by Bengaluru-based Gear Gear Motorcycles. Emerging as a cafe racer, the bike gets several parts resembling the Yamaha RX100.
The modifier has removed several parts for weight saving. The handlebar has been lowered and made rear set and the alloy wheels have been replaced and so have been the hubs. The rims are wider and the knobby tyres add to the rustic look.
The stock Yamaha FZ was powered by a 153 cc single cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC mill coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The carburetted engine is capable of producing 14 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 13.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.
