Deliveries of the Yamaha FZ 25 will begin in a couple of months.
At an event in the national capital today, India Yamaha Motor launched the Yamaha FZ 25.
Powering the bike is a 249 cc single cylinder oil cooled, fuel injected mill. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 20.9 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.
The Yamaha FZ 25 is built on diamond type frame and has a kerb weight of 148 kg. The exhaust is uni-directional flow promising a throaty and crisp note. Brakes include a 282 mm disc up front and a 220 mm disc in the rear. The seating position is slightly sportier than the Yamaha FZ 2.0 thanks to 15 mm shorter handlebar. The ground clearance is 160 mm. The hip position of the rider is 30 mm forward set as compared to the FZ 2.0.
The engine gets the usual load of Yamaha’s technical know-how including Blue Core technology which helps in keeping a balance between performance and fuel efficiency. The bike also gets advanced features like LED headlamp inspired from the one seen in the Yamaha M Slaz, LED taillamp and an all digital instrumentation console.
Aiming to be a powerful mid class streetfighter, the Yamaha FZ 25 is targeted towards youngsters in the age group of 20 to 30 years. It will be available in three colour options, Knight Black, Ballistic Blue and Warrior White.
Yamaha India has priced the Yamaha FZ 25 at INR 119,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
