Today morning we speculated on Hyundai branding the RB as Verna. Hardly few hours later we have solid proof - Autocar India has posted images of the RB caught undisguised by one of its readers at the Chennai factory. We don't know if Hyundai is infuriated or shocked or both, but the images prove that the Verna branding will pass on to the RB.
The new Verna, Autocar India says, will be powered using 1.6 petrol and 1.4 diesel motors. The six-speed manual and AT will be carried over from the i20.
The new Verna will feature dual-tone interiors, automatic climate control, electronically folding side mirrors, parking sensors, bluetooth enabled stereo, steering-mounted audio control, push start and dual airbags. All of these features were present on the Verna an IAB reader spied last month.
The current Verna might not exist once the RB enters production.
