Several new cars and bikes awaiting to launch in Nepal.
Vehicle registration increased by 24 percent in the first three months of the current fiscal year in Nepal. A total of 66,282 vehicles were registered in this period in FY 2014-15, as compared to 53,161 vehicles last year.
Gopi Neupane, general secretary of Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) attributes this to good sales during the festive season, as banks and financial institutions (BFI) lowered their interest rates. In reality though, the actual rise in new registrations would only be about 13 percent as some vehicles imported in June/July last year were registered only now.
Registrations of four-wheelers increased from 2,819 last year to 3,223 this year, an increase of 14 percent. Two-wheelers saw a rise of 24 percent from 45,984 to 57,162 vehicles.
