The TVS Draken-X21 Concept which was unveiled at the Auto Expo in January previews the next gen Apache RTR. The brawny naked street fighter portrays a design which is a progressive evolution of the Apache RTR.
TVS confirmed a few months ago that the new Apache will launch in the final quarter of this calender year, and one senior TVS official had asked IAB to expect features from the Draken to cascade into the new Apache.
The Draken-X21 concept in now being showcased in Jakarta, Indonesia to gauge public response.
The Concept motorcycle has a futuristic appeal thanks to its asymmetric headlight design with LED headlamp element and daytime running lights, structural sub-frame, reversed free flow exhaust system, active matrix digital instrument console and offset rear monoshock suspension. Other striking visual features include muscular fuel tank with scoops, meaty swing arms and humongous tyres.
The Draken-X21 is powered by a 250cc single cylinder 4-valve liquid cooled engine mated to 6-speed transmission. The concept is claimed to produce an impressive 38.5 PS and 23 Nm of torque which is much higher than most of the competition.
What's even more impressive is that the motorcycle weights just 134 kg, resulting in a staggering power-to-weight ratio of 287.3 PS/tonne!
