Could be priced close to INR 1 lakh.
Last month, two versions of the TVS Apache 200 were snapped together in Indonesia. The models were differentiated chiefly by their handlebar configurations, as one had the conventional, single-piece tube type bar and the other had the more desirable, clip-on bars.
TVS could probably offer two variants of the new Apache, with the higher variant getting the split handlebars and more expensive Pirelli tyres. Another possibility is that these features could be exclusive for export markets like Indonesia, whereas the Indian model could do with TVS-branded tyres to keep prices competitive.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is scheduled to launch on January 20, while in Indonesia it will be locally premiered and offered for test rides at Sentul International Circuit on January 21.

The model is believed to be powered by a 200 cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC engine with four-valves and an oil-cooler, that produces around 27 PS of maximum power and over 20 Nm of peak torque. The motor is likely to be offered with a five-speed gearbox.
