First up, the engine in question which is a 200 cc single-cylinder, oil-and-air-cooled engine is reported to be a modified version of the Apache RTR 180’s unit. According to the report, this engine will excel in the NVH department while also offering a sporty exhaust note.
The carburetor unit will be good for 26 PS and 22 Nm of torque, and will be paired to a 5-speed manual unit, the report adds. Further, stopping power will come from a 270 mm petal disc up front and a 250 mm petal disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS being part of the optional kit.
Riding on a Double Cradle Synchro Stiff chassis, the Apache RTR 200 will get telescopic forks up front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Riding on 90/90 tyres up front, the Apache 200 will be shod with 130/70 tyres at the back, of the TVS SriChakra brand. The new Apache will weigh 140 kg, according to the report.
