Tata Motors has starting dispatching early examples as well as test drive units of the Tata Tigor Styleback ahead of its March 29 launch. Bookings are currently open across all Tata dealerships for a minimum deposit of INR 5,000.
The Tigor is Tata's third product to compete in the sub-4m sedan segment, measuring 3,992 mm long, 1,677 mm wide, 1,537 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm, while the ground clearance is 170 mm. Compared to the Tiago it's based on, the Tigor gets blacked out projector headlamps, 15 inch dual tone alloy wheels (petrol only), wide LED brake light and a new Copper Brown color option.
The Tigor comes has an all black interior with body-colored and gloss black accents in the XZ grade, similar to the Tiago. Some highlights of its equipment list are the Harman touchscreen infotainment system with 8-speakers, steering-mounted audio controls, multi-info display, City and Eco Driving modes, and an automatic climate control. The boot offers a class-leading luggage capacity of 419 litres.

At launch, the Tigor will be available with an 85 PS/114 Nm 1.2L Revotron 3-cyl petrol engine and a 70 PS/140 Nm 1.05L Revotorq 3-cyl turbo diesel engine. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be equipped as standard in both variants at launch.
