Expected to launch towards the end of this year.
A Tata Nexon prototype was caught testing in Kolkata by Samik Jonak Gosh. The company's first sub-4m SUV is expected to launch in India towards the end of this year.
Although its heavily camouflaged, Tata has already revealed the production-spec design at the Auto Expo 2016, which looks virtually similar to the Nexon concept unveiled two years ago, save for typical production-spec elements. It will be available with a suite of customization options from Tata's Personalization Studio, when launched
The Nexon is expected to measure 3,995 mm long, ride on 16-inch alloy wheels and sports a ground clearance of 200 mm. It gets projector headlights, a ceramic side finisher, contrast roof, LED taillights and LED daytime running lights in addition to a piano-black grille element.

Under the hood, the Nexon will be powered by a turbocharged Revotron 1.2-liter petrol engine or an all new 1.5-liter diesel engine that outputs 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. A new 6-speed manual gearbox will drive the front wheels of the Nexon and three driving modes will be available on the compact SUV.
