Customization options could be available right from Tata Zica.
At the Auto Expo 2016, Tata Motors gave interested customers a chance to customize the Nexon sub-4m SUV digitally, hinting that they could offer bespoke options at launch, which would be under Tata's newly set up Personalization Studio feature.
This could be one of the key selling points of the Tata Nexon, and is not offered by other manufacturers. It's unclear as to what degree of personalization customers could indulge in, although it's expected to be limited to the contrasting roof, window line, exclusive graphics and interior trim.
What cannot be upgraded from the factory is the motor under the hood, which is an option between a turbocharged Revotron 1.2-liter petrol engine or an all new 1.5-liter diesel engine that outputs 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. A new 6-speed manual gearbox will drive the front wheels of the Nexon, while three driving modes will be available on the compact SUV.

The Nexon will not be the only model to receive customization options. Tata showcased the Hexa Tuff, Safari Storme Tuff and Zest Personalized at the Auto Expo 2016, with options that could be made available to customers for further personalization.
