Will pack a 1.05-liter diesel engine.
The Tata Kite hatchback has been spotted testing with production-ready exterior and interior, leaving nothing to the imagination.
It features a new design that falls in line with the company's Tata Zest and Bolt, characteristic features being a honeycomb grille, bug-shaped headlight enclosures, large ORVMs, wraparound taillamps, larger windscreen and a subtle roof spoiler.
The Tata Kite comes with a modern interior that is a step up over the Tata Indica. The dashboard is finished in a dual tone black and beige plastic. It gets a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, sculpted instrument binnacle, a black plastic center console occupied by rectangular AC vents and a 2-DIN music system.
Under the hood, the petrol variant of the Tata Kite is expected to pack a three-cylinder 1.2-liter unit, while the diesel motor will be a three-cylinder, displacing 1.05-liters, reportedly. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and an automated manual transmission (AMT). Certain reports have speculated that it will feature an e-clutch system, where the driver can slot into first gear without using the clutch.
