The Suzuki Gixxer is powered by a 155 cc engine producing 14.1 PS (13.9 bhp) and 14 Nm of torque.
The brochure of the Suzuki Gixxer which is expected be launched in the coming weeks has been leaked by Bikewale.com. The naked motorcycle was unveiled alongside the Let's scooter ahead of the Auto Expo.
To be positioned above the GS150R in Suzuki Motorcycle India's portfolio, the street fighter is powered by a 154.9 cc air-cooled engine that is good for 14.1 PS and 14 Nm of torque. The carbureted motor that incorporates the efficiency enhancing Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Gixxer measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width and 1,030 in height. The wheelbase, saddle height and ground clearance stand at 1,330 mm, 780 mm and 160 mm respectively. The motorcycle weighs 135 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.
The front suspension is the traditional telescopic fork while the rear adopts the monoshock setup. The bike comes shod with 100/80-17 tyre upfront and a meaty 140/60R-17 rubber at the rear (both are tubeless). While Suzuki offers standard front disc, a rear disc is not even available as an option.
Other noteworthy features include a fully digital instrument console and first-in-class dual exhausts (in a single silencer end can). Suzuki says that the styling of the Gixxer 155 is inspired by the immensely popular GSX-R sportsbike series.
