The Suzuki Gixxer SP launched for sale in September 2016.
At the Autocar Performance Show, Suzuki Motorcycles showcased the special edition Suzuki Gixxer SP.
The Suzuki Gixxer SP utilises the same 154.9 cc single cylinder, air cooled mill. The engine is coupled to a five-speed gearbox and is capable of producing 14.8 PS of maximum power and 14 Nm of peak torque, fuelled via a carburettor. Suzuki though has recently launched a fuel injected version of the Gixxer in Japan.
The motorcycle gets several cosmetic changes which include a Gixxer SP emblem, new graphics, clear-lens taillamp and a dual-tone seat. The Suzuki Gixxer SP also gets a matte finish Matt Fibroin Grey/Glass Sparkle Black paint job and new key with a Suzuki logo embossed.
The bike, however, is available only with a rear disc brake. It tips the scale at 135 kg and has a ground clearance of 160 mm. The Suzuki Gixxer SP measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width and 1,030 mm in height. The wheelbase is at 1,330 mm while the seat height is 780 mm. The fuel tank can store 12 litres of petrol.
The Suzuki Gixxer SP priced at INR 89,803 (on-road, Delhi) is INR 4,463 more than the entry-level drum brake monotone variant.
