Suzuki India is gearing up to introduce a new Matte Black colour option to the Suzuki Burgman Street. This 125 cc automatic scooter was introduced first in June 2018. So far, more than 90,000 Indians have brought home the Burgman Street. Pictures of this new Matte Black colour for Suzuki Burgman Street have been shared by BikeAdvice, possibly from a dealer stockyard.
Currently, the Suzuki Burgman Street is retailed in three coloured options, Metallic Matt Fibroin Grey, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White. This new Matte Black colour will help the Japanese brand add more sales volumes which are presently stabilised at around 6,000 units a month.
Powering the Suzuki Burgman Street Matte Black will be same 124 cc air-cooled, SOHC mill. Output figures are expected to be an identical 8.7 PS of power and 10.2 Nm of torque. There is no presence of any fuel injection sticker on the body, which confirms that this model will use a carburettor as of now. Hence, a BS-VI compliant Suzuki Burgman Street is still some time away.
Key features of the Suzuki Burgman Street include LED headlamp, LED position lamps, Suzuki Easy Start System, DC socket, glove box and a front pocket. Besides that, the premium scooter gets a front disc brake, all-digital instrumentation and aluminium footrest. The footboard has been designed to allow the rider comfortable riding posture. The underseat storage in the Suzuki Burgman Street is a large 21.5-litre unit.
Despite looking bulky, the Suzuki Burgman Street has a surprisingly low kerb weight of 108 kg. That’s just 1 kg more than the Honda Grazia and 8.1 kg lighter than the TVS NTorq. The ground clearance has been pegged at 160 mm.
The Suzuki Burgman Street carries a price tag of INR 69,208 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Matte Black colour scheme is expected to be offered at the same sticker price.
