A report from MotorOctane states that the Suzuki Burgman Street will be launched in the country in mid-April. The website also reports that the maxi-scooter may cost INR 75,000, on-road, Maharashtra.
Suzuki unveiled the Burgman Street at the Auto Expo in February, along with Intruder 150 FI and the Suzuki GSX-S750. After the Kinetic Blaze, the Burgman Street would be the country’s only maxi-scooter. True to the Burgman lineage, the Street has a bulbous design with LED headlamps,m body-mount windscreen, flexible outstretched foot position, and a front disc with combination braking system. The scooter features all-digital instrumentation.

The Suzuki Burgman Street employs a 124.3 cc single cylinder SOHC engine with air cooling. A carburettor feeds the fuel, and the transmission is a CVT unit. The Japanese manufacturer is yet to reveal the output figures. The front end features telescopic fork, and the rear gets a hydraulic type shock absorber. The rear comes with a drum brake.
The 12-inch front and the 10-inch rear alloy wheels are shod with 90/90 and 90/100 tubeless tyres respectively. The Suzuki Burgman Street is 1,884 mm long; 661 mm wide, and 1,163 mm high. In the current 125 cc scooter space, it rivals the TVS Ntorq, Honda Grazia, and Vespa SXL / VXL 125.
