Following its debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, the seventh-get BMW 3-Series has finally made to India at a starting price of INR 41.40 lakh*.
On the outside, the 2019 BMW 3 Series gets new Adaptive LED headlights with BMW Laserlight technology, L-shaped LED tail lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, and remastered bumper with different fog lamp design and positioning. Just like the exteriors, the cabin, too, looks classier and comes with more technology and features. Speaking of which, the next-gen 3-Series comes kitted out with BMW Operating System 7.0-based BMW Live Cockpit Professional along with 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch Control Display. The sedan now also packs BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant which responds to “Hey BMW” - this is first for a BMW.
Furthermore, there is also a HUD (Head-up display) which now sports a projection area which is 70% larger. The all-new 3 Series has evolved into a sleeker and sportier model in its seventh-gen form. The sedan has shed close to 55 kg weight thanks to the use of CLAR platform. The all-new BMW 3-Series features Driving Experience Control switch which helps in easy selection of various driving modes including ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport, Sport+. It also features BMW Gesture Control and Park Assistant with Rear View Camera which helps in automated parking by taking over the steering wheel, brakes and even the acceleration.
The latest 3 Series has grown in terms of all dimensional aspects. It measures 4,709 mm in length, 1,827 mm in width and 1,441 mm in height. It is 76 mm longer, 16 mm wider and 1 mm taller in comparison to the outgoing model. That said, its wheelbase has also grown by 41 mm and now stands at 2,851 mm. The longer wheelbase means that occupants will be now able to enjoy slightly more cabin space. Under the hood, there is a 2.0-litre petrol engine (258 PS/400 Nm) doing duties on the 330i variant and there is a 2.0-litre diesel engine (190 PS/400 Nm) which powers the 320d variant. Both the variants feature a standard eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission along with rear-wheel-drive layout.

In terms of the safety kit, the latest BMW 3-Series gets six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor.
