Royal Enfield 650 Twins to be available 40 official accessories in India

The Royal Enfield 650 Twins are set to launch today in India at an event in Goa. Ahead of the launch, Royal Enfield has revealed that the 650 Twins will be available with 40 official accessories optionally.

On 18 September, a fully accessorised Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 was spied entirely undisguised. Out of the 40 official accessories, around 32 are shared between the 650 twins while 8 fitments are model specific. The fixtures will be available at launch, although those will be offered optionally.

While these are only a handful of accessories, Royal Enfield is yet to reveal the extensive accessory list. The 650 twins share parts like headlamp, chassis, engine, suspension, brakes and wheels with each other. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is a classic roadster that features relaxed riding ergonomics, round fuel tank and a comfortable seat.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, on the other hand, is a café racer that features an aggressive riding posture, clip-on handlebars, a GT-style tear-drop fuel tank and step-up seat. Both the motorcycles use telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin shocks at the rear. Braking department is handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear rotor, with standard dual-channel ABS.

Powering the Royal Enfield 650 Twins is a 648 cc, single-cylinder, parallel-twin, air-cooled engine with oil cooling. The 8-valve, SOHC, fuel-injected motor is capable of developing a max power of 47 bhp at 7,100 rpm and generating a peak torque of 52 Nm at 5,250 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
