Will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15.
Renault will debut its VW Passat fighter, the Renault Talisman, at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show that starts from September 15. User Yann0027 of French website Autoplus has caught the executive sedan on the streets.
Renault says the Talisman has been built to the highest quality standards with meticulous attention to detail in every aspect. The design of the sedan has been influenced by the Espace MPV, and it is based on the Renault-Nissan CMF platform with dimensions of 4.85 meter length, 1.87 meter width, height of 1.46 meter and a wheelbase of 2.81 meter.
The interior is claimed to have best-in-class space and a clutter-free dashboard layout. The highlights here include the central 8.7-inch touchscreen system, 7-inch instrument cluster and colour heads-up display. The cabin boasts of a dual-tone layout and is also embellished with wood and silver trims in the top-spec variant. The boot has a storage capacity of 608 liters.
The Renault Talisman is offered with two petrol and three diesel four-cylinder engines. The TCe turbo petrol units produce 148 bhp and 197 bhp and are mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The dCI diesels generate outputs of 109 bhp, 128 bhp and 158 bhp; these can be coupled to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearboxes.
The Talisman will be sold in Europe by early 2016 before being launched in other global markets.
