The first units of the Renault Kwid have reached dealer yards as these images from CarWale show.
Based on the CMF-A platform, the Renault Kwid measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width, 2,423 mm in wheelbase and has a 180 mm ground clearance. Manufactured at the Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Oragadam near Chennai, 98 percent of the car has been localized to arrive at an aggressive price.
Power comes from a 799 cc, three cylinder petrol unit capable of 54 PS and 72 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. With a mileage of 25.17 km/l, the Kwid is the most fuel-efficient petrol car in India.

The car will be available in four trims – Standard, RXE, RXL and RXT. The top-spec variant of the Kwid comes with a dual-tone dashboard and a center console finished in piano black with chrome finish on the air vents. Features include front power windows, MediaNAV pack for navigation and infotainment with a 7-inch touch screen, keyless entry with central locking, air-conditioning, electric power steering and an optional driver airbag.

The Kwid will launch with over 60 accessories and a 2 year/50,000 km warranty. Bookings for the Kwid officially opens on September 14. At the unveiling of the car in May, Renault said that the car would be priced at INR 3-4 lakhs.
