Bajaj Auto has reduced the prices of its commuter range, the Bajaj CT100. The price now starts from INR 30,714 for the CT100 B model.
Earlier, the base model, the Bajaj CT100 B costed INR 32,653. This translates into a reduction of INR 1,939. The price of the mid-range model, the CT100 KS (Kick Start) Alloy has gone down from INR 38,637 to INR 31,802, resulting in a considerable difference of INR 6,835. The top-end model, the Bajaj CT100 Electric Start (ES) Alloy now costs INR 39,885, as opposed to its earlier pricing of INR 41,997. Interestingly, the ES Alloy version now costs INR 1,079 more than the introductory pricing of the bike when it was launched.
In comparison with its rival, the TVS XL100, the CT100 B undercuts it by INR 2,045. This price cut will appeal the rural buyers who are in the market for a frugal and inexpensive commuter. While the CT100 B and CT100 KS Alloy share the 99.27 cc engine, the ES Alloy comes with a bigger 102 cc mill. The former is good for 8.2 PS and 8.05 Nm, and the latter makes 7.7 PS and 8.24 Nm. All the variants have the same internally-tested top speed at 90 kmph. For the KS variant, the ARAI certified mileage stands at 78.1 km/l; and the ES Alloy returns 69.4 km/l.
