Will be based on the tenth-gen Honda Civic’s platform.
The fifth generation Honda CR-V has been rendered by Brazil's Auto Facil magazine, giving us a better look at the new model.
The rendering draws cues from a test mule spotted recently in the U.S, which featured production body and lights. The front-end appears to combine the design of tenth generation Honda Civic and the current CR-V, featuring a new trapezoidal grille flanked by LED. The bumper has more sculpted features for a stronger look
Moving to the sides, it seems like the profile hasn’t drastically changed. The greenhouse, even in its updated look, is still very much current CR-V-like. The rear-end gets sporty new L-shaped tail lights that look similar to the new Civic and the Acura Concept SUV-X.
A two-row seating layout will be the standard offering globally, while a three-row version may be optional in some markets.

The next-gen Honda CR-V will be based on the tenth-gen Honda Civic’s platform. Engine options will likely also include naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, as well as a diesel motor, with displacements between 1.6- to 2.4-litre. There will also be an option of a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with electric drive.
