TVS' new automatic scooter is continuously being nabbed during test runs in Chennai suggesting that it is nearing its D-Day.
We present you another spyshot of the scooter today which was taken by our reader Mr. Santhosh Thangavel. The test mule seems to be the same one that was spotted on earlier occasions.
As you know, the new flagship scooter from TVS is basically a new top hat on the Wego's platform. The same 110cc engine which generates 8 bhp and 8 Nm of torque would be carried over.
The scooter will be positioned above the Wego as a premium offering. The other scooters in TVS' portfolio are the Scooty Pep+ and the Scooty Streak.
The yet to be named scooter is clearly larger than the Wego and has its eyes on segment leader Honda Activa. Perhaps that's why it has a close resemblance to the Honda!
As you can see from the spyshot, the fuel filler cap is located externally, just above the rear taillight. From the previous spotting we know that the scooter sports black alloy wheels which are similar in design to those on the Wego.
The front suspension is telescopic suggesting a disc brake might be on offer in the top end variant. The rear suspension is a conventional single sided spring.
The frequent spotting of the scooter can mean just on thing - the launch isn't far off.
