Bajaj Auto’s expansion plans in Malaysia starts with the Pulsars and the V.
Bajaj Auto in collaboration with the Modenas, a Malaysian two-wheeler company, has launched the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS and Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Bajaj and Modenas aim to capture a 22 percent market share in the first year.
The Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles will be initially imported from India, but the Modenas group will also manufacture (assemble) them in Malaysia in the future. Both the Modenas Pulsar 200NS and Modenas Pulsar RS200 are powered by a 199.5 cc SOHC, liquid cooled, fuel injected mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.

The engine in the Modenas Pulsar 200NS produces 24.5 PS of power at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 155 kg and gets disc brakes at both ends. Colour options include Wild Red and Graphite Black.
The fully faired Modenas Pulsar RS200 also produces the same output in Malaysia and gets features like projector headlamps and a single-channel ABS in the front. Colour options include Racing Blue and Graphite Black.
The Modenas group has priced the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS at MYR 9,222 (INR 1.38 lakhs) while the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has a sticker price of MYR 11,342 (INR 1.69 lakhs). Both motorcycles will be available only at select Modenas dealerships.
