Maruti Suzuki XL6 spied in new Dignity Brown colour

The Maruti XL6 that was previously spotted in the Nexa Blue colour has been spied in a 'Dignity Brown' colour now, courtesy GaadiWaadi.

For the uninitiated, the Maruti XL6 is a Maruti Ertiga-based 6-seater MPV. While the Ertiga is sold through Arena dealerships, the XL6 will be a comparatively premium offering and be sold via NEXA showrooms. According to a recent report, the XL6 will be available in two grades, namely Alpha and Zeta. The former will be the range-topping grade, while the latter will be the lower grade.

Features like SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, individual captain seats for the second row, full LED headlamps and DRLs and the all-black interior theme will be available as standard on the XL6. While additionally, its higher Alpha trim will feature a reverse camera, leather seats and cruise control on the inside and dual-tone colour scheme and black alloy wheels on the outside.

The XL6 will carry a more aggressive and rugged look. It will feature a more imposing front-end with a bigger hexagonal grille with twin chrome slats extending between the LED DRLs. Also, its headlamps will be sharper and its front bumper will have a chunkier design. Of course, there will be a faux skid plate as well at the front. The profile will comprise black cladding on the lower body, silver-finished roof rails and silver garnish on the rocker panels. At the back, there will be a restyled bumper and a faux skid plate to go along with the rugged character.

Speaking of the mechanicals, the Maruti XL6 will run on a BS-VI version of the K15 SMART HYBRID petrol engine which is rated to generate 77 kW (104.6 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm at 4,400 rpm in the BS-IV version. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The Maruti XL6' pre-bookings will commence by the middle of August 2019. The launch is scheduled to take place on 21 August 2019.
