Ahead of a market launch reported to take place by August, the Maruti Ciaz was snapped inside and out while testing in India. The Ciaz on test here is the top-end variant as it sports features such as alloy wheels and engine starter button.
The Ciaz's interiors come in a dual-tone black and beige color scheme. The door trims, which are seen in beige, feature power window buttons and door handles that resemble other Maruti cars like Dzire and Ertiga. An image showing the steering wheel of the Ciaz also shows the engine starter button. The same image shows the driver's seat with controls for height adjustment.
The Ciaz's front seat passengers get an armrest, to which the rear AC vents are attached. The fabrics on the seats seem to be made from leather.
Maruti will most likely offer 205 section tires on 16-inch rims on the Ciaz.
While the Chinese Ciaz (Alivio) was spotted with dual exhausts, it seems unlikely for Maruti to offer this in India as the rear bumper of the test mule does not indicate so. The Ciaz will launch during the festival season this year with a petrol and diesel engine option, the former of which would get a CVT option.
