Will launch in four variants.
Seen here are the first images of the Maruti Baleno on Indian roads sans camouflage, though the badges have been concealed in an attempt to mask the car's identity. Spotted in its 'Autumn Orange' shade, this Baleno is likely the 'Delta' variant, which gets a rear wiper, but misses out on alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights.
The Baleno is reported to launch in four variants, with petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-liter K-Series petrol will be offered with a 5-speed manual or a CVT, whereas the 1.3-liter DDiS diesel will get a 5-speed manual transmission only.
All variants of the Baleno will receive ABS, EBD and dual airbags as standard, reportedly. Other features on the premium hatchback will include automatic AC, electrically adjustable and folding wing mirrors, smart entry with an engine starter button, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment-cum-navigation system, steering mounted controls, projector headlights, automatic headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights.
The premium hatchback is reported to have its dimensions at 3,995 mm in length, 1,500 mm in height, 1,745 mm in width and 2,520 mm in wheelbase. The ground clearance will measure 180 mm, whereas the boot will be capable of taking 355 liters of luggage.
