Outsold Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz in the month of December 2015.
Maruti has amassed nearly 70,000 bookings for the Maruti Baleno, ever since it was launched in India on October 26, 2015.
The rapid rise in booking count usually increases the vehicle's waiting period, which is currently at six months for the Maruti Baleno. The company is in talks with the production team in Manesar to increase the output and restrict the waiting period from crossing beyond six months. Note that the Baleno for global markets will also be manufactured in India and exported.
This month, Maruti Suzuki have increased prices of the Baleno, by INR 5,000-12,000, ex-Showroom. Aside from the base Sigma petrol variant (where the price increase is INR 12,000), the price increase is a constant INR 5,000. The Baleno range is now priced between INR 5.11 Lakh and INR 8.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
