The latest round of spy shots of the Mahindra U321 (codename) shared by Anything on Wheels has revealed a new alloy wheel design. The MPV is slated to go on sale in India in April 2018 and will be the first of four new products that Mahindra will launch during FY 2018-19.
Unlike previous sightings in which the U321 was seen sporting 5-split-spoke alloy wheels, the test mule pictured here rides on 6-split-spoke two-tone rims. This could mean that Mahindra may offer a different set of alloys with different grades.
Aside from the new set of rims, the spy pictures do not reveal anything new about the MPV. As evident, the vehicle will have a traditional MPV profile as "the focus is on movement of people and it is not an SUV vehicle." Needless to say, the U321 will have three front-facing rows with accommodation for 6-8 passengers.
The Mahindra U321 will debut a new 1.6-litre mFalcon diesel engine co-developed with SsangYong. This engine will produce 125 hp and 305 Nm of torque. Mahindra also announced that it will offer a petrol engine option in all its new models arriving 2018 onwards.
