The Mahindra Mojo is at an advanced stage of testing but the final product is most likely to look a little different from the one that was showcased at Auto Expo 2012.
Mahindra 2 Wheelers has apparently decided to give its 300cc flagship a design makeover even before the launch to iron out its quirky character. The shape of the fuel tank and the bare bones twin headlamp units polarized opinions.
While we don't know whether the fuel tank shape will change, the latest spyshots of the Mojo test mule suggest that the naked motorcycle will get a bikini fairing of sorts. If you look closely under the disguise, these spyshots from PowerDrift's Facebook page show additional body colored bits below the twin headlamps which were absent on the original design.
The disguise on the fuel tank doesn't reveal a thing but the rest of the motorcycle remains unchanged. We except the new front fairing to sport minimal bodywork to maintain the bike's naked appeal.
To recap, the Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 292cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. The fuel injected motor delivers 25.8bhp and 25 Nm of torque. The equipment level is on par with rivals, the main contender being the KTM Duke 200.
Will Mahindra surprise us by launching the bike before the end of the year?
