Vesta sedan to launch in Russia in November 2015.
Following the launch of the regular Lada Vesta sedan, the company could introduce the Lada Vesta hatchback and Vesta Station wagon. Graphic artist Theophilus Chin has posted a rendering of the station wagon, giving a better idea as to what it could look like.
The Lada Vesta sedan measures 4,410 mm long, 1,764 mm wide and 1,497 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,635 mm, and is based on a platform developed by AvtoVAZ and Renault-Nissan. It debuts Lada's latest design language for future models, characteristic features being the X-motif on the front-end and side profile, swept-back headlamps, and chrome accents.
Inside, it comes equipped with features like a 7-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity, FM/AM, USB and AUX ports, steering mounted controls, cruise control, heated front seats, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, SOS function, automatic headlights, and automatic wipers.
The Lada Vesta will offer a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter petrol engine available in 8 valve and 16 valve configurations, which produces 87 hp and 106 hp, respectively. A more-powerful 1.6-liter 16-valve unit (code – H4M), sourced from Nissan, delivers 114 hp through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
It is expected to be priced between 500,000 – 550,000 rubles, and will be sold in 22 cities before the end of this year, before launching in other cities.
