Indian Kawasaki Motors has launched the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition in the country at a price of INR 5.49 lakhs, ex-showroom.
KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team, and the motorcycle comes with special KRT livery which makes it stand apart from the rest of the models. Speaking of the new addition, Mr. Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors said:
The Ninja 650 KRT edition has done remarkably well in the USA, Europe and in other countries recently. We have got a good pool of Ninja 650 customers here in India as well. Those who were planning to buy Ninja 650, now have got another option with this new edition.

The motorcycle employs a 649cc parallel twin DOHC engine with liquid cooling. The powerplant is capable of generating 68 PS of power at 8,000 rpm, and 65.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Working in unison with the engine is a 6-speed gearbox.
A 41 mm telescopic front fork and a rear horizontal back-link with adjustable preload hold the high tensile steel trellis frame. 300 mm petal discs at the front and a single 220 mm rear disc handle the braking responsibility. The brakes come with ABS as standard. The motorcycle weighs 196 kg, kerb, and the fuel tank can hold 15 litres of juice.

The motorcycle is available in Lime Green colour and will enter the Kawasaki dealerships from mid-November onwards. The bike's primary rival in the segment is the Honda CBR650F, which was updated recently.
