Both companies term the report as 'speculation'.
Isuzu is currently working on a Toyota Innova rival (codenamed RU30) which, ET Auto reports, could also be shared with GM India.
As of now, there are very little details on the RU30 MPV. It is likely to manufactured at high localization levels at the company's new full fledged manufacturing plant at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, which could also be the production base of the Chevrolet MPV, if the plan were to materialize. Older reports stated that Isuzu were planning to sell around 40,000 units of the MPV in the Indian market per annum.
Neither GM India nor Isuzu officials have confirmed such an arrangement taking place. The latter is currently focusing on launching the new range of Isuzu D-Max pick-ups that made their Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016.

ET Auto also reports that Chevrolet is looking to source a diesel engine from Isuzu for the Chevrolet Tavera to meet future emission norms. The Chevrolet Tavera will continue being sold in India beyond 2017, the report states.
