Rumoured to launch this March in India.
Multiple India-spec Honda WR-V models has been spied in what appears to be the ASEAN-spec Honda BR-V's orange and dark grey exterior colors. It is expected to launch this March in India, and was designed and developed by Honda R&D Brazil.
Last week the company held a production flag-off ceremony for the Honda WR-V at its manufacturing plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan, revealing the India-spec WR-V to employees. The ‘Winsome Runabout-Vehicle' will be Honda's third crossover to join the Indian portfolio, others being the Honda BR-V and CR-V, and will rival products like the Hyundai i20 Active, Fiat Avventura and VW Cross Polo, as well as the Ford EcoSport and Maruti Vitara Brezza.
Honda is yet to confirm the engine lineup, but it is more than likely to include the 1.2L i-VTEC petrol paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT, and a 1.5L i-DTEC turbo diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Power will be sent to the front wheels only.
