Rugged i20 Active set for its launch next month.
Hyundai Motor India Limited is gearing up to launch the Hyundai i20 Active next month which is nothing but a crossover-version of the popular Elite i20 which was launched last year. Here's a pictorial comparison of the cars.
New body colour aside, the i20 Active gets a new headlight cluster similar to the Euro-spec i20. These light clusters incorporate LED daytime running lights and projector headlights, features which will be exclusive to the i20 Active.
The front bumper sees a redesign and it appears that the airdam is inverted on the i20 Active. Large circular foglights and a skid guard sum up the changes to the front of the i20 Active.
The side of the i20 Active sports new features such as roof rails, body cladding, a silver underside protector, new petal-shaped alloy wheels, and a distinct silver cap for the fuel lid. Engineers have also upped the ground clearance of the car.
At the back, the i20 Active gets a rear spoiler, and a redesigned rear bumper with a skid guard and circular reflector elements. The bootlid gets the 'Active' badging, and it appears Hyundai will opt names such as 'SX' for variants, rather than the Elite i20's Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta.
