Hyundai has announced that it has received 50,000 bookings for the Venue within 60 days of launch (21 May 2019). The company claims that this is the fastest ever 50,000 booking within this time period.
Hyundai has delivered over 18,000 units of the Venue since its launch. Out of all the units delivered, over 55% of the total units are Blue Link-enabled. 35% of the customers have chosen the 1.0L T-GDI engine with 7-speed DCT.
The Hyundai Venue has created huge curiosity among the Indian customers, also it was reported previously that over 2 lakh customers have shown interest in this sub-4 metre SUV. A lot has to do with its affordable entry-level price of just INR 6.50 lakh*. Last month, our dealer sources reported that the waiting period has extended up to 2-3 months. With the monthly production hovering around just 8,000-9,000 units initially, the company might have a hard time trying to balance out the supply-demand chain.
Furthermore, other factors which have contributed to the Venue's success story include its Blue Link connectivity suite which comprises 33 connected vehicle features. The company also says that out of the 33 connected vehicle features, 10 have been added specifically keeping the Indian market in mind. To name a few, features like remote engine start/stop, remote climate control with engine start, real-time vehicle tracking, geo-fence alert, auto crash notification and assistance, panic notification and stolen vehicle tracking, are a part of its Blue Link connectivity suite.
