The car was launched in 2011.
Hyundai launched the Eon back in 2011, and while the major update has just been the addition of a 1-litre variant, a nip and tuck is expected for Hyundai's entry-level offering. Apart from the passage of time, the introduction of new rivals, including the new Alto range (both the Alto 800 and the Alto K10), and the Datsun Go, isn't favorable either for the Korean carmaker.
Published by Korean website Hankyung, a new picture showing a camouflaged Eon has emerged testing on Korean streets. Though even the doors are camouflaged, we expect cosmetic revisions only to the front and rear fascias of the hatchback.
The Eon test mule that was caught in India last year, featured a similar camouflage covering the car, and just keeping bits of it (the A and B pillars, the roof, and parts of front and rear fenders) exposed. Now would be a wise time to refresh the Eon given that new cars like the Renault XBA (codename) and Datsun redi-Go are planned for a 2015 launch.

The Eon is currently available with two engine options: an 800 cc petrol engine that makes 55 hp and 74.5 Nm, and a more powerful 1-litre unit that makes 68 hp and a maximum torque of 94 Nm. These engine options are likely to remain unchanged on the refreshed Eon.
