1.6 diesel comes with an optional 6-speed AT.
Ahead of its market launch on July 21, 2015, certain dealers of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) have started accepting bookings for the Hyundai Creta compact SUV. The booking amount varies between INR 25,000 to INR 40,000 depending on the region.
HMIL spokesperson told Indian Autos Blog that the company was yet to officially start accepting bookings for the car though.
The Creta will be available with 1.4- and 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engines and a 1.6-liter Dual VTVT petrol engine. The 1.6-liter diesel will optionally come with a 6-speed automatic transmission, whereas other engines are expected with a 6-speed manual only. HMIL revealed that the 1.6-liter petrol will produce 123 PS whereas the 1.6-liter diesel will develop a class-leading figure of 128 PS, identical to the Verna.
On the feature front, the Creta SX(O) will be equipped with six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, VSM, and HAC in addition to 17-inch alloy wheels, projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, cornering lights, a 7-inch touchscreen AVN system with 6 speakers, smart key with push button start, leather seats, reverse parking camera, FATC with rear AC vents and steering mounted controls.

Production of the Creta has commenced at HMIL's Chennai factory, which will also export the compact SUV to overseas markets.
