The made-in-India Creta is exported to over 77 countries.
According to a report on Business Standard, the Hyundai Creta is expected to receive its 100,000th booking (domestic and export market combined) by this month-end. Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Hyundai Motor India Ltd.'s (HMIL) senior vice-president (sales & marketing) confirmed the figure.
Thus far the Creta has received 92,000 orders, of which 16,000 units are from export markets. HMIL has already shipped 12,270 units to over 77 countries including markets in Latin America, UAE and Africa. In the domestic market, HMIL has received 75,000 bookings for the compact SUV, of which 35,000 units have been delivered.
To reduce waiting periods - which currently hover around 3 months - HMIL will increase production of the Creta to 10,000 units/month from January 2016. The Chennai plant of the Korean car maker currently produces around 7,500 units/month of the Creta.

The Creta is priced between INR 8.69 - INR 11.29 lakhs for the petrol variant and between INR 9.56 - INR 13.8 lakhs for the diesel variants, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. HMIL offers the compact SUV with 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines and a 1.4-liter diesel engine. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard across the range, and a 6-speed AT is available on a single variant of the 1.6-liter diesel model.
