Honda dealers will officially commence bookings for the Honda Mobilio in early July, just ahead of a market launch that will take place in late July.
A Honda Cars India spokesperson confirmed to Indian Autos Blog that official pre-bookings will commence in the early part of July, however, a few dealers maybe accepting bookings unofficially before.
Honda has started customer showcases of the Mobilio in India, wherein the MPV is on display in various shopping centers this month and the next. The showcase aims to give prospective customers an early look of the car, though features and specifications remain unannounced.
Like Honda's recent launches, the Mobilio too will come with a petrol and a diesel engine. The engines are expected to be carried over from the new Honda City. The petrol engine would be the four-cylinder 1.5-liter i-VTEC producing 119 PS and 145 Nm of torque (on the City), while the diesel motor is the 1.5-liter i-DTEC making 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque (on the Amaze and City).
Honda said it will position and price the Mobilio between the Maruti Ertiga and the Toyota Innova. After Indonesia, India will be the second launch market for this three-row 7-seat MPV based on the Brio platform.
