Two engine options available: 1.8L naturally aspirated and 1.5L Turbo.
Honda Cars Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the 2016 Honda Civic, and have also revealed some of the features that will be equipped in the tenth generation sedan.
The next gen Civic will offer six airbags and eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat as standard in all variants, while features such as LED headlamps (with LED DRLs), walk away auto lock, remote engine start, electric parking brake, auto brake hold and VSA (vehicle stability control) would be available in higher grades.
As expected, the engine lineup includes a 1.8L i-VTEC naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 141 hp and 174 Nm of torque, and a 1.5L unit VTEC TURBO turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Both are paired to a CVT with Earth Dreams technology as standard.
Honda could also offer optional Modulo accessories for further personalization of the new Civic, which was showcased at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March. Expect the car to be launched in Malaysia in the coming weeks.
