The 2016 Honda Civic has made its Asian motorshow debut at the 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand. Now on sale in the country, the ASEAN-spec tenth generation Honda Civic looks identical to its original North American-spec version. The 2016 Honda Civic is being offered in four trim levels in Thailand: E, EL, TURBO and TURBO RS.
Two engines are offered in the ASEAN-spec 2016 Honda Civic sedan: a 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine producing 141 hp and 174 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO engine developed under Earth Dreams Technology, good for 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Both engines are locally made at the Prachinburi plant and offered only with a continuously variable transmission which is also developed under the Earth Dreams Technology.
The E and EL trim levels are offered with the 1.8-litre engine while the TURBO and TURBO RS trim levels are offered with the 1.5-litre engine. Noteworthy features include 7-inch Display Audio Touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility, electric parking brake, Honda LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system and Engine Remote Start. For a more aggressive styling and sportier equipments, Modulo Honda Custom Parts are also on offer optionally.
