Honda is showcasing the ASEAN-spec 2016 Honda Civic fitted with Modulo accessories at the 2016 Bangkok International Motor Show. The 2016 Honda Civic was launched in Thailand just last month along with the Modulo accessories. The first markets outside North America to get the tenth generation Honda Civic has two engine options, both firing petrol.
The 2016 Honda Civic is available in four trim levels E, EL, TURBO and TURBO RS. The E and EL grades feature a 1.8-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine that produces 141 hp and 174 Nm of torque while the TURBO and TURBO RS, as their name suggests, are powered by the 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO engine developed as part of the Earth Dreams Technology suite.
The four-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Both engines are built locally at the Prachinburi plant, and are linked to a continuously variable transmission, also from the Earth Dreams Technology stable, as standard.
A few of the all-new model's equipment are Engine Remote Start function, electric parking brake, Honda LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system and 7-inch Display Audio Touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility.
Five body paint choices are offered in Thailand: White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Cosmic Blue Metallic.
