The EcoSport received a mild model year update in India this year.

The front- and rear-end of the EcoSport are completely wrapped up, which suggest that Ford is working on a facelift for their compact offering. Expected changes include a 6-point grille that could be similar to the new Ford Edge and the facelifted Ford Escape, as well as revised headlights and taillights.

Like the exterior, the interior could also be subjected to an overhaul, so as to rival newer products like the Mazda CX-3, Renault Captur, and Honda HR-V. For 2016, the Euro-spec EcoSport underwent an update which features additional sound deadening material, a four-inch color display and a chrome pack inclusion.

The EcoSport facelift could be rolled out towards the end of 2016, or in early-2017.
