Fiat is prepping the launch of its all-new pick-up truck, the Fiat Toro, which is reported to take place in Q1 2016. The company has already unveiled the front end of the new pick-up, but new images of two undisguised units in a plant have surfaced online.

The Fiat Toro is reported to arrive in showrooms from Q1 2016.

The exterior of the Toro draws heavy design influence from the Fiat FCC4 concept revealed at the 2014 Sao Paulo Auto Show. It has sleek pilot lamps that are separated from main headlamps, which flow into the dual-slat chrome grille. The foglamps have chrome-trimmed enclosures in top variants, while the lower bumper has a silver skid plate.

It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, and features black plastic body cladding around the wheel arches and side skirts. Also seen are a pair of large roof rails and ORVMs with turn indicators. The rear end has sleek wraparound taillamps, large Fiat logo, and a barn-style tailgate.

Engine lineup includes a 1.8 16v E-Torq Flex petrol engine and 2.0 16v Multijet turbodiesel. The former produces 138 bhp and is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the latter delivers 170 bhp through a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic gearbox. A 4×4 drivetrain is only available in the 2.0L turbodiesel variant.

Fiat recently unveiled its first global pickup truck, the Fiat Fullback, at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show last week, which will be sold under the Fiat Professional sub-brand. It is basically a rebadged Mitsubishi Triton/L200 with a slightly distinctive styling.
