Electric two-wheeler brand Okinawa has announced special festive season discounts and offers on its range of products. The new festive season offer will be available between 12 August and 31 October, during which customers can avail special benefits on purchases across Okinawa dealerships in the country.

Okinawa Autotech has assured an INR 1,000 discount on the purchase of any Okinawa electric scooter. Apart from the INR 1,000 discount, twenty lucky winners will stand a chance to win electronic items such as Air conditioner, LED Television, Microwave and Mixer Grinder. One lucky customer will also get an opportunity to win a ‘Foreign Trip’. Names of the winners will be announced in November 2019.
The special offers are aimed at boosting sales during the festive season. Speaking about the new limited period discount and prizes, Jeetender Sharma, Founder & Managing Director, Okinawa Autotech Pvt. Ltd., said:

Regular followers would know that Okinawa Autotech announced a price reduction on its products after the reduction of GST on EVs from 12% to 5%. Moreover, Okinawa is also one of the five brands in our market to receive the benefits under the FAME-II scheme, thus resulting in aggressive prices for its products.

Post the GST reduction, the company's Lead Acid products are affordable by INR 2,500-4,700. The Li-ion range, on the other hand, have received a price reduction in the range of INR 3,400-8,600. The reduced on-road prices have given a push to sales. The GST council has also reduced the rate on the charger or charging stations for electric vehicles to 5 % (from 18% earlier). Speaking about the incentives by the government, and their results, Sharma added:
A slew of incentives by the Government has accelerated the electric mobility transition in India. The Union budget and the GST rate cut of 7% which we have passed on to our customers has already made the scooters more affordable and through our current campaign we want to attract customers waiting to join the Okinawa electric scooters family. We are now witnessing an increased demand for our e-scooters and we will be offering more choices to our customers at attractive prices.
