Ducati SuperSport has been judged as the Queen at EICMA.
The recently unveiled Ducati SuperSport has been judged as the Most Beautiful Bike of the Show. This is the 8th time in 12 years that Ducati has won this honour.
More than 12,000 fans voted their preference in the ‘Vote and Win the Most Beautiful Bike of the Show’ survey. Organised by the Italian magazine Motociclismo, 31.4 percent of the voters inked the SuperSport as the new Queen. After its official unveiled at the Intermot, the bike was present at EICMA.
Ducati at this year’s show brought 7 key models. Five of these were Ducati badged bikes while two were Scramblers. The SuperSport is powered by a 937 cc Testastretta 11 degree twin-cylinder engine. It has a maximum power output of 113 PS at 9,000 rpm and 96.7 Nm of torque peaking at 6,500 rpm.
In standard form, the SuperSport gets 43 mm Marzocchi forks in the front and a Sachs mono shock in the rear. A performance oriented SuperSport S is also available with a 48 mm upside down set up in the front by Ohlins and a mono shock in the rear by the same brand. The SuperSport S also gets a bi-directional Ducati Quick Shifter and a rear seat cowl.
Aimed to be a more comfortable sports bike for people who do not want to miss out on comfort or the aggressiveness of the Panigale series. Ducati has high hopes from the bike. In fact, they believe that the SuperSport will outsell the Panigale 959!
